Breathe On Me
…he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” John 20:19-31 The Holy Spirit within has feelings. Sometimes our spirit mourns. Other times our spirit rejoices. The Good News – we have a great high priest who has felt the gamut of those emotions, Jesus Christ. We are reconciled with Christ by each an every one of those emotions but now rather than use them as a hindrance, we must use them as our strength to do the work to which God has called us. As we proclaim his death, proclaim his resurrection, and proclaim his coming again; in the hearing, our very breath becomes an extension of his life.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Psalm 150:6

Thank you for this post, so true. It gives me strength and holds me together in my present situation which involves a part time job which pays minimum and is steadily abusive and literally physically crippling at this time. Yet, the Lord IS with me and profoundly showed Himself to me in this abusive environment just yesterday. I do not understand the purpose of my pain nor do I know if the crippling of my body from this will be permanent, but I do have His love and ever present hand in mine.
Martha, sorry to hear of your frustration and pain. Please know that you are in my prayers. I too am having a bit of a struggle these past few years and hang on by God’s grace. One day at a time together let us trust in the Lord. Happy to hear that what God has given me to share is helping to carry you as well. Peace and Blessing my sister.
