Only A Few Words
…for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Matthew 6:7-15 One of the benefits of a prayerbook is the well thought out prayers for every situation. However, I don’t walk around with a prayerbook all day. There are definitely times when I am called to pray and I am “un – prepared”. I had to work really hard to learn how to speak as the spirit leads me. It wasn’t easy and at times I still struggle. What we know as the “Lord’s Prayer” has rescued me many times. I give thanks to a God who already knows what I need when only a few words can be found and yet have confidence that He still hears my prayers.
I had trouble praying in front of people — one of my friends told me “take your time…no hurry”. That helped so much, I take a deep breath and try to listen to the still small voice.
All praise to God. -Yes, that advise has helped me as well. Thank you for sharing. Peace and Blessings to you.
Sincerely sister ~ I don’t need a prayer book except the blessing of the Holy Ghost which is a The Holy Ghost calling or job is to—CRADLE us.

Praying is just talking to the Lord. Keep it simple…He just wants to fellowship and we need Him. 🙂
This is what I taught my children and students through the years. 🙂
Thank you and keep serving Him well,

All Praise to God – You are welcome. Thankfully, praying is talking to God (I like to talk – LOL). I learned this as a child as well. It has literally gotten me through some dark nights and now these days I’m learning to listen. Peace and Blessings upon you and your family.
Amen!! I always told my children when they were little, Jesus is there at the foot of their bed when they wake up, walking with them through out the day and sitting at the foot of the bed each night…waiting to chat before sleep. He is then with them watching over them for sweet dreams.

Praise God! Such a wonderful memory! Thank you – Peace and Blessings always to you and your family. 🙂
