Only A Few Words

…for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Matthew 6:7-15  One of the benefits of a prayerbook is the well thought out prayers for every situation. However, I don’t walk around with a prayerbook all day. There are definitely times when I am called to pray and I am “un – prepared”.  I had to work really hard to learn how to speak as the spirit leads me. It wasn’t easy and at times I still struggle. What we know as the “Lord’s Prayer” has rescued me many times. I give thanks to a God who already knows what I need when only a few words can be found and yet have confidence that He still hears my prayers.

  1. I had trouble praying in front of people — one of my friends told me “take your time…no hurry”. That helped so much, I take a deep breath and try to listen to the still small voice.

  2. Sincerely sister ~ I don’t need a prayer book except the blessing of the Holy Ghost which is a The Holy Ghost calling or job is to—CRADLE us.

    • All Praise to God – You are welcome. Thankfully, praying is talking to God (I like to talk – LOL). I learned this as a child as well. It has literally gotten me through some dark nights and now these days I’m learning to listen. Peace and Blessings upon you and your family.
