Courage To Speak

Pursue Love and strive for the spiritual gifts, and especially that you may prophesy (1 Corinthians 14:1-12); to reveal as by divine inspiration. We ask God for a lot of things. We don’t often ask for the gift of revealing God’s message; or for the courage to speak freely about his love, mercy and grace. Let’s face it, we are much better at receiving his love mercy and grace. Perhaps we may think that we are not all meant to prophesy, but there are many opportunities to express God’s love mercy and grace without saying a word. The gifts of the spirit are both broad and unique. Rest assured, as long as our heart is in the right place, when the time comes the Holy Spirit will help us to use our gifts and we will know exactly what to do and exactly what to say.

“See I am sending you out like sheep…do not worry about how you are to speak or what you are to say, for it is not you who speak but the spirit of God speaking through you.”  Matthew 10:16-23
