Short-Term Fix
So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared as well. Matthew 13:24-30 From a distance, when the lawn that surrounds my house is perfectly mowed and landscaped you can’t tell the weeds from the grass. It all looks perfectly green. Not until the lawn grows out a bit and you get right up on it do you recognize the crabgrass and a few other unidentified specimens. Cutting the grass of course is a short-term fix. Sooner or later the lawn needs to be treated. There are those who will always ease their way into our lives because they want control of something that does not belong to them. From a distance they can be quite indistinguishable but the closer you get their true nature is revealed. The good news is that in due season, watch out as the weeding begins, because God will not be interested in short-term fixes.

A very good comparison…we need to always remember to have a more “focused-in” perspective
rather than just “viewing from a distance!” The Lord needs us to walk in awareness…Blessings Always…
All Praise to God and thank you for your comment. For certain what we see from a distance isn’t always what it is. Often, discernment requires a closer look and attention to the details.
