Harmonic Unison

You will arise and have compassion on Zion  …indeed, the appointed time has come. Psalm 13  The word resolution has many meanings. The one I like best refers to music. It is the passing of a discord into a concord during the course of changing harmony. A discord is a chord harmonically regarded as unpleasing. In written music sometimes discords are intentional for the purpose of resolving into the most beautiful harmonic unison. At times much of our journey seems in discord, out of harmonic unison with God’s purpose in our lives, inundated with unpleasing events and at times unbearable. Yet, if we can resolve and commit to remain in Christ, soon before you realize, we experience that beautiful harmonic relationship that God intended us to have. It’s a new year. Whatever you have resolved to do, commit it to the Lord, because even though life itself can seem like a series of discords a resolution towards harmonic unison of mind, body and spirit is promised to those who continue to believe. 

For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her vindication shines out like the dawn, and her salvation like a burning torch. … and you shall be called, “Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken Isaiah 62:1-5, 10-12
