The Master Tool

For I do not rely on my bow, and my sword does not give me the victory. Psalm 44:6  But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. I will give you thanks for what you have done and declare the goodness of your Name in the presence of the godly. Psalm 52:8-9  It is said that with the right tools anything can be done. Yet clearly, this passage in Psalm 44 reminds me that something far deeper is needed. It is possible to physically have everything one needs to get a job done and still come up short. However, the glory in the battle belongs to God and a war waged against a heart for God, ultimately has no chance for eternal reward. Every ministry for the glory of God, both new and old is like a mini battle set against a world view, but we have the Master Tool that will ultimately win the war.
