Always Ahead

…before Abraham was, I am.  John 8:47-59  It is often difficult to see that God’s Spirit is always ahead of us. Every destination will serve a purpose. Every event serves a goal. Some days we may feel cut off like a branch removed from a tree. If we hold to the faith which has already gone before us, we are not the branch. We are the tree, deeply rooted in Wisdom and Love, waiting for the next nourishing rains to sprout new buds and put forth new branches.
