The Way

Holy Week – I did not turn backward. I gave my back to those who struck me, and my cheeks to those who pulled out the beard…. The Lord God helps me… he who vindicates me is near. Isaiah 50:4-9. Drama always seems to beget more drama and one of the hardest things to do in life is to walk way; to turn your back on the drama. The way of the cross requires that we turn our backs on the drama. It requires that we persevere in our hearts and minds towards the promises of God, in the face of that drama. It requires that our actions be bold as we move firmly in our belief in spite of the weight of that drama. Thank you God for you have already redeemed us. We have only to walk in your way – straight through the drama and into your Love.
