Joy In the Morning

“Woman, why are you weeping…”  I think I love the way John’s Gospel tells the passion story the best. In the loneliness of a tomb, a resurrected Christ speaks ever so gently to Mary still hurting from the previous events. At first she doesn’t recognize him and it took another call of her name. In the darkest of tombs, thank you God for continuing to call each of us out by name for there is no place we can go where your voice can not be heard. Weeping may endure the night but joy always comes in the morning.
