People would lay him daily at the gate of the temple called the Beautiful Gate so that he could ask for alms from those entering the temple. Apparently, this was the gate that received most of the foot traffic or perhaps the more wealthy patrons. Funny thing about gates, big, small, beautiful, manual or electronic, they don’t open or close by themselves. Thank you God, for when the stone was rolled back from the tomb, silver or gold is not necessary. Your gate is always open.
