When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and bowed down before him…  Mark 5:1-20  No doubt the Gerasene in this story was a complete mess to the point of living in a cave. Yet, though the townspeople called him a demoniac, even in his affliction, only he seized an opportunity to encounter the living God and immediately ran directly towards Jesus while he was still at a distance!  When our lives are out of sync we sometimes have a tendency to run away or run to the wrong people, those who don’t have our best interest. In those times we need to remember to let the love that is within us draw us ever nearer to God and eventually the enemies of God’s Spirit will begin to fall away and be replaced by a right mind and right fellowship.
